Upper Texas Gulf Coast

We build
the file before we make the claim.

Mouton Trahan is a three-office injury firm for people hurt on the water, on the dock and on the coast highways. You get a plain written file you can read at every stage.

Claims and matters

Four things we say, and the matter behind each

Every claim here is paired with a sample matter, written the way we write a file note.

We put your claim on the calendar before you leave the hospital.

Sample matter: a deckhand hurt on a crew boat. Notice and a records request went out in week one, and maintenance and cure was paid from the first month. $185,000.

We ask for the vessel's logs, not only your account.

Sample matter: a tugboat winch that crushed a hand. The maintenance log showed the same winch reported weeks earlier. $340,000.

We pull the truck's own records.

Sample matter: a lane change on a coast highway. The driver's hours log and the dash camera were requested in the first days. $410,000.

We never rush a family.

Sample matter: a wrongful death after a contractor's lift failed. No demand went out until the investigation finished, and the family saw each step in writing. $640,000.

Sample matters are invented illustrations. Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome, every case turns on its own facts, and amounts are before fees and costs.
